Afternoon coop students visit The Art Bank
Today, the afternoon coop students had a field trip to the Art Bank. Thank you Claudio Marzano(Art consultant ) for showing us around. The art bank has been buying art since the 70's and today they have 18,000 pieces in their gallery, made by over 2500 artists. They rent pieces for offices and firms for 10% of what they bought it for. The money they get from renting the art, goes to buy new art. The pieces are very diverse, they range from classical realism to contemporary portraits throughout the last century, all the artists are Canadian. All of us had a good time viewing the art and having Claudio showing us around. Click on the link to go to the art bank web site. www.artbank.ca
