After being named Youth Role Model of the Year by Jer's Vision, Elder Commanda wanted to share his vision. The proposed Asinabka National Indigenous Center on Victoria Island in Ottawa will support the healing of Indigenous People, the healing of relationships with others, and the healing of relationships with Mother Earth. It will share with Canada and the world, the values and Ideology of the Indigenous Peoples and is fueled by the vision of Grandfather Elder William Commanda (96) recipient of this year’s Jer’s Vision Youth Role Model of the Year Award.
