Take Back The Night Lanark County is here! Thursday night at 6:30 pm people will gather behind the Carleton Place Town Hall and join the march through town to Read's Bookstore, rain or shine. After the march there will be a performance by the county's Spoken Word National Slam Team.Take Back The Night is aiming to send a message that all girls and women deserve to be safe and not feel terrified of assault and violence whenever the sun goes down. So if you're in the neighbourhood and see a parade of purple-clad men, children but mostly women making a whole lot of noise, don't be scared - join in!
